Hitachi Capital were awarded the top prize in the Best App categories at the awards, which are the only ones in the industry that reward technological innovation in the corporate marketplace.
Pitted against other business car apps such as Toyota's company car tax app, Hitachi Capital’s joint entry of their grey fleet and company car smartphone apps were commended for offering a unique and market leading solution to industry-wide issues faced by companies who operate a fleet.
The apps both utilise the bespoke Hitachi Capital database which will be accessible by companies and fleet managers in real time to review the information directly inputted by drivers via the smartphone app.
This data is collected directly from the apps which prompt the drivers monthly to log vital information about their vehicle including the condition of the car, vehicle mileage and when the next MOT or service are due.
Hitachi Capital Car Solutions divisional managing director, Robert Wastell commented: “We pride ourselves in being innovative and at the forefront of technology and we’re proud that both our apps and our daily rental solution have been industry recognised. It’s a great testament to all the hard work that goes on at Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions that we were able to win two Techies awards.”
The BusinessCar team's experience and knowledge of the industry's latest developments mean they know a clever and useful product when they see it.
Their decisions ensure that the results reflect the things that really matter to the fleet community.
The Best Daily Rental System prize was awarded to Hitachi Capital’s cloud-based daily rental solution.
